The Hunting Day

10.00am Arrival at Fallowfields Hotel- Welcome with tea, coffee etc

10.15 Begin with an introduction to the birds and equipment used Explain and chat about the different types of raptors used and their quarry. Demonstrate and practice the safe handling procedure and gain confidence around and with handling the birds Give general information on equipment needed and used, the weighing and training of birds of prey, what they eat, catch etc. Client will take charge of a Hawk and we’ll set off on a walk around the local hunting area.

 1pm Lunch at local pub. (light meal + one drink included in price)

2pm Back out into the fields, accompanied by ferrets or dog.

3.30 Back to base allowing guests to tether birds to perches finishing with tea or coffee and a friendly chat about the day’s events, flying and activities.

 4pm Goodbyes and departure All times are approximate, please wear clothing suitable for weather and suitable footwear for walking cross country. If on the day you have booked the weather is bad it would be advisable to rearrange, please call us before setting off to check.
